Terms and Conditions

THE HAUS EDIT ACADEMY

Training Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

These Training Terms & Conditions apply to courses booked with The Haus Edit Academy. Please read them carefully before completing your booking.

By completing a booking and agreeing to these Terms & Conditions at checkout, you enter into an agreement with The Haus Edit Academy for the training course selected.

1. COURSE BOOKINGS

Your place on a course is confirmed once your booking and required payment have been successfully completed through our website.

You are responsible for ensuring that all information supplied when booking, including your name, email address and contact details, is correct.

Following your booking, you will receive confirmation by email containing details of your course, including the course booked, date, time, training location and important information you will need before attending.

Please check your confirmation carefully and contact us as soon as possible if anything is incorrect.

2. COURSE FEES & PAYMENT

Course prices are displayed on our website at the time of booking.

Payment must be completed using one of the payment methods available at checkout.

Where Klarna or another third-party payment provider is selected, your payment arrangement is subject to that provider's eligibility requirements and terms. Your agreement with the payment provider is separate from your training agreement with The Haus Edit Academy.

Any valid promotional or introductory discount code must be entered at checkout. Discounts cannot normally be applied retrospectively once an order has been completed.

3. WHAT YOUR COURSE INCLUDES

The individual course listing will clearly state what is included within your course fee.

Depending on the course booked, this may include:

• Professional practical training
• Course manual or workbook
• Professional student kit
• Practical and/or theoretical assessment
• Accredited certification following successful completion
• Post-course support

Course contents and included products vary between courses. Students should check the individual course description carefully before booking.

4. STUDENT KITS

Where a professional student kit is included within the course fee, The Haus Edit Academy will arrange the kit required for your training following confirmation of your booking.

Kits may contain products supplied by third-party professional brands. Individual products, shades, packaging or kit contents may occasionally change due to manufacturer availability.

Where necessary, an appropriate professional alternative of comparable purpose and standard may be supplied.

Kits provided as part of training are intended for the student enrolled on the course.

Where a kit has already been ordered specifically in connection with a student's booking and the student subsequently cancels, any treatment of the cost of that kit will be subject to the student's statutory rights and applicable consumer law.

5. COURSE DATES, ATTENDANCE & LATENESS

Students are responsible for attending the course on the date and at the time confirmed within their booking confirmation.

Please arrive promptly and allow sufficient time for travel.

Late arrival may result in elements of the course being missed.

Where lateness means that the required teaching or assessment cannot be completed safely or to the required standard, additional training or reassessment may be required before certification can be issued.

Students who fail to attend their booked course without contacting The Haus Edit Academy will be treated as a non-attendance.

Any additional costs arising from rescheduling, non-attendance or reassessment will be reasonable, explained before further training is booked and handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.

6. CANCELLATIONS & CONSUMER RIGHTS

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.

Where you purchase a course online as a consumer, you may have a statutory right to cancel your contract within 14 days of entering into it.

If you wish to cancel your booking, please contact The Haus Edit Academy in writing as soon as possible.

Where you specifically request for services to begin during an applicable cancellation period, different rules may apply once part or all of the service has been supplied.

Where a cancellation takes place outside any applicable statutory cancellation rights, any cancellation charge or amount retained by The Haus Edit Academy will reflect reasonable losses and costs actually incurred as a result of the cancellation, taking account of our ability to reduce those losses.

This may include reasonable costs already incurred in preparing for your training or ordering course-specific materials or products, where legally permitted.

We will not impose cancellation charges that are disproportionate to the loss caused by the cancellation.

7. RESCHEDULING

We understand that circumstances can change.

If you need to move your course to another available training date, please contact The Haus Edit Academy as early as possible.

Where reasonable and subject to availability, we will try to accommodate a transfer to another training date.

Repeated transfers or requests made very close to the training date may result in reasonable additional costs where The Haus Edit Academy has incurred a genuine loss as a result.

A course booking cannot automatically be transferred or sold to another person without prior written agreement from The Haus Edit Academy.

8. CANCELLATION OR CHANGES BY THE HAUS EDIT ACADEMY

On rare occasions, The Haus Edit Academy may need to change or cancel a course due to circumstances such as educator illness, venue issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where this occurs, affected students will be contacted as soon as reasonably possible and offered an appropriate alternative training date.

Where The Haus Edit Academy cancels a course and cannot provide an appropriate alternative, the student will be entitled to any refund required under applicable consumer law.

The Haus Edit Academy cannot accept responsibility for consequential expenses such as travel, accommodation or loss of earnings except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

9. TRAINING LOCATION

Unless stated otherwise within your booking confirmation, in-person training takes place at:

The Haus Edit Academy
Based within Gemma's Beauty Clinic
Bury, Greater Manchester

The full address, course time and relevant arrival information will be provided within your booking confirmation.

Students are responsible for arranging their own travel and, where required, parking.

10. COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Some courses may have prerequisites or minimum qualification requirements.

Where prerequisites apply, these will be clearly stated within the individual course description.

It is the student's responsibility to ensure that they meet any stated entry requirements and to provide evidence of existing qualifications where requested.

Courses suitable for complete beginners will clearly state where no previous professional qualification is required.

11. PRACTICAL TRAINING, HEALTH & SAFETY

Nail education involves practical work using professional products, tools and equipment.

Students must follow all health, safety, hygiene and educator instructions throughout their training.

The Haus Edit Academy reserves the right to stop a practical activity where continuing would create an unreasonable health or safety risk.

Students must inform their educator before practical training begins of anything relevant that may prevent them from safely participating in a treatment or practical activity.

12. ASSESSMENT & CERTIFICATION

Attendance alone does not automatically guarantee certification.

Students must complete the required training and any practical and/or theoretical assessments to the standard required for their particular course.

Where further practice, evidence or reassessment is required, this will be explained to the student.

Certificates will only be issued once all required elements of the course and assessment have been successfully completed.

13. ACCREDITATION, QUALIFICATIONS & INSURANCE

Where a course is described as accredited, the relevant accreditation information will be stated within the individual course listing.

Students intending to provide treatments professionally are responsible for obtaining appropriate professional insurance before carrying out services on paying clients.

Insurance requirements can vary between providers. Students should therefore confirm that their chosen insurer accepts their qualification and intended treatments.

The Haus Edit Academy cannot guarantee acceptance of a qualification by every insurer, employer, salon or other third party.

14. COURSE MATERIALS & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Course manuals, presentations, worksheets, teaching resources and other educational materials supplied during training are provided for the student's personal educational use only.

Course materials must not be copied, reproduced, resold, uploaded, distributed, shared, published or used to teach another person without the appropriate permission of the copyright owner.

Some training resources may be produced or licensed by third-party education providers and remain subject to their respective copyright and licensing conditions.

15. PHOTOGRAPHY & SOCIAL MEDIA

Photographs and video may occasionally be taken during Academy training.

Appropriate permission will be sought before identifiable photographs or video of a student are used for marketing or social media purposes.

Students are under no obligation to consent to marketing photography and may tell us that they do not wish to appear in photographs or video.

16. STUDENT CONDUCT

The Haus Edit Academy aims to provide a professional, welcoming and respectful learning environment.

Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, unsafe or seriously disruptive behaviour towards the educator, salon staff, models or other students will not be accepted.

In serious circumstances, a student may be required to leave the training environment.

Any resulting refund or financial consequences will be considered fairly according to the individual circumstances and applicable consumer law.

17. RESULTS & PROFESSIONAL SUCCESS

Our courses are designed to provide professional education, practical skills and industry knowledge.

Completion of a course does not guarantee employment, business income, clientele or any particular financial result.

Individual results will depend on factors including continued practice, professional development, experience and how the student applies their training following qualification.

18. COMPLAINTS

If you are unhappy with any part of your training or booking experience, please contact The Haus Edit Academy in the first instance so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve your concern.

Please provide your full name, the course booked, your course date and details of your concern.

We aim to handle complaints professionally, fairly and as promptly as reasonably possible.
